On & Behind the Camera
Keven Souza is a multi-disciplinary storyteller working across short film, feature film and live theatre. A graduate of The Actors' Program, his practice spans both sides of the camera — performing as a trained actor while writing, directing and producing his own work.
His debut short film Voyage earned a nomination for Best Cinematography at the NZYFF Awards, and in 2023 he won the prestigious Equity Neighbours Graduate Internship from over 100 graduates across Australia and New Zealand. In 2025 he produced The Play That Gets Louder at Auckland's Basement Theatre, supporting emerging Black voices in Aotearoa.
